Hello everybody, it is a very long time since I posted here, and actually I did any construction. Before I share with you my old construction, I have to confess, I did not build any aircraft for years now, but now I am ready to get back in the "game".
So, I got all the tools from here, PhlatPrinter3 and Phlatformer, so I could build my conceptions... The Fokker EIII is fascinating for me, because was a monoplane in a biplane world and most of all, it has no ailerons. The entire wing...
Soon to get my first batch cut on the original Phlat printer! This has to be my absolute favorite foamy PERIOD! Theres a fine line that seperates the precise foamies from the 3D huckers. I managed to get most of the airframe completed today. I only found a couple of small issues that need to be addressed, but nothing major.
I did add in a carbon spar to beef up the wing. Hoping to get it completed by the weekend for a test flight.

V3 is final.
The major change, I scrapped the detachable wing. Now its two pieces that fit into a channel in the fuselage. The detachable wing design really didn't add any value to the kit. I trimmed down the aileron width and length for better control.
I also added in a steerable tailwheel which turned out fantastic!
Now there is an internal channel that runs vertically from the wing root to the electronics compartment, for the aileron servo wiring.
Some minor fuselage profile shape change...

Here is one of my latest designs I plan to have on my site for sale soon.
I originally thought I'd stay away from the profiles and stick with the full fuse style planes but realized I missed my profiles lol. I'm glad I designed this one because it flies great.
My flying bud was having fun videoing this one. Enjoy.

I recently got an http://www.XtremeFoamies.com "Flying Ghost Plane" and figured I would share the build and my thoughts with you all.

The kit arrives nicely packed, in a box sized perfect for this airplane. There is no wasted space, and you can actually get this one back in the box, if you don't start building it the second you take it out for the first time.

I really prefer our CNC cuts over laser. The laser burns the wood and makes a mess of it.

I ordered the kit Monday and it arrived Wednesday. One piece of wood containing the rudder was warped and they are sending me a new one, but I wet the rudder and placed it in a vice between two flat pieces and it soon was back in shape.
I opted to cover the boat in Oracal...

I got my PhlatStang in yesterday.

Very nice kit Mark and Trish. You can see the thought and care that goes into these as soon as you open the box. All the parts came out great and the sticker package with it is really gonna bring this plane alive. All my micro stuff is in my Micro Ripper that I have been prototyping, but I think it's about time to retire the prototype (beat up pretty good) and put the electronics in the PhlatStang.

I think I will try and get this plane built soon.
This is a 3D and Pattern style Bipe with an all up weight of just over 6oz on a 32" wing span! I have not yet named this so maybe we could do a contest to" name this plane" and the winner would of course get one of the first production! We would need at least 150 name choices !! Maybe we could have you guys post your suggestions and let someone non biased choose the name from a list so they dont know...
My intention was to design an indoor plane that was Precision capable but could do 3D as well!! Hence the SENTINEL was born
This plane is very straight forward to build in spite of the truss supports the tab and slot construction makes it a breeze to assemble! It has a four piece horizontal fuse and wing...
