Hi all,

We've been cutting happily for some time with our PhP3.

Last night, the green light on the USB board went out. Our setup is:

* Mac Mini (new, January) running VMWare (WinXP)
* Active USB repeater to PhP3

I've checked all USB connections, and eliminated the USB repeater from the picture. The green status LED on the planet-cnc board is out. VMWare does not acknowledge the existence of the controller board when it is plugged in. (For two months now, this has not been an issue.)...

CNC motion controller is a link between personal computer and drivers for stepper motors. It uses USB port which is available on all modern computers and laptops. This is a complete (software/hardware) solution and it does NOT require any additional software (Mach3 is NOT needed).
USB CNC controller is compatible with most step/dir drivers. It has the same pinout as popular...

Hey guys. I tried to power up the MK3 today and wasn't able to get any steppers to respond or have the usbcnc software have active "colored" icons along the left. The usbcnc board has a flashing green led which I believe means everything is normal. The EasyCNC drive card is getting power as I have red leds for each axis. I also tried to move the axis manually with the electronics on and it is locked in place indicating the steppers are powered. Any quick and dirty troubleshooting ideas...
