Lawn mowers are the subject at nearly every meeting at one of the clubs I belong to, and last month a big to do was all about the need to repair or purchase new mowers, so I thought now would be a good time to inject a little fun into this otherwise...
I have been looking at PlatCam as a possible solution for what I am trying to do. The idea would be to machine a foam plug of a model car body.
I have looked at the "full scale cowling" thread and that would certainly be one way to do it. What I would prefer would be to machine the whole body in one piece or possibly a couple pieces to deal with the undercuts which are only possible with a 5 axis machine The CNC machine that I am planning would have a fairly long Z-axix. The scale...
For those of you who know me, or have heard me on the Crash Cast, you know my tastes in models run from micro to giant scale, electric to gas. For my upcoming trip to SEFF 2011, I want something that will stand out on the flightline. Sure, there are 170mph+ Rite Wings (cool, BTW!) incredible scale warbirds and civilian aircraft, HUGE wings like LMopar69's 14 footer, and allot of sport flyers..but I haven't seen...

Mr Mulligan is my last scratchbuilt model B.C. (Before CNC) as I have just completed the build of my Phlatprinter 3! I originally drew up the plan 18 months ago and completed most of the build before getting stuck on how to attach the wings and how to construct the wing struts. Many designs and plan builds later I have finished it off while waiting for my PP3 to arrive in the UK.

Mr Mulligan is around 39" wingspan and approximately scale with the exception of increased fun fly wing...
