Hi All

Happy New Year from snowy Scotland !!

Just completed a wee tool that I needed, so thought I'd share it.
It's a fairly rudimentary dog-bone or t-bone internal corner maker.
Dog-bone or T-bone internal corners are used to remove the radiused corners which are created due to the router bit thereby allowing rectangular corners to fit neatly.
It only works on 90 deg corners...

I asked this question in another thread but no luck.

I see others creating and coding 3D fuse halves and milling the inside of the fuse. I understand this process if you are creating a mold. I have never tried milling yet but it seems to me that in creating a 3D fuse, wouldn't you mill the outside shape of the fuse sides, hollow out the centers, either by hand or milling, then join the two parts and sand?

I may have it all wrong, that is why I'd like to know how others are doing this...
It is Windows only for now but is using OpenGL so it might work under Wine. There is currently no error checking and I am just using it to get a quick visualization of the gcode put out by the PhlatscripT. This shouldn't be considered part of the PhlatscripT but it does rely on version 0.918 or greater.

Place GPlot.rb and GPlot.dll and Win32API.so (this comes from a standard Ruby 1.8 install)...

Hi All
Just finished my first ruby tool that creates aerofoils (airfoils from aerofoil files - don't tell me someone else has built one or I'll cry
Attached is a zip file containing "phlatFoil.rb", a couple of cursor image files "cursor_aerofoil_begin.png" & cursor_aerofoil_end.png" - there are also a few test...

Here you can download all the scripts that I feel are a big help when building designs for use on the PP.
Some are single .rb script files that need to be placed into your Google/Sketchup/Plugins folder and others will be zipped files that require you to read the install txt files included in the zip.

There are tons of scripts written out there for Sketchup and these are just a few free ones that I like to use.
If you find more that you find useful please fell free to add to the list.

Thought all the Macintosh users might appreciate this ...

http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCGWizardE.html

It's a GCode editor/backplotter that is x-platform - seems to work fine with phlatscript generated code. It's currently a wee bit slow on the Mac, but that should improve hopefully.

Tested my big electric glider rib code on it - sorted a few issues with welding some of the edges which would have been painful if I had to keep...

By request, here is a new mod. When you save your parameters, the safe area box is automatically generated. It will no longer do this. Now it's generated/updated only when the box dimensions are changed. The main thing you will notice is when you have a new drawing, the box is not automatically generated just because you enter a new bit diameter or material thickness, etc. I also find it annoying that the box keeps showing up. That doesn't mean you don't have a safe area. It's always...

Mod for Phlatscript v0.924. Tabs are highlighted, like in the tab tool. The tab highlight doesn't show up until the user triggers a screen refresh, like click on screen somewhere. I can't make the refresh automatic, because then any previous selected parts will become unselected. And you want the selected parts if you intend to erase everything. Overwrite the file in the ToolsPhlatboyztools folder. Or change the orginal file to something like EraseTool.rb.txt if you want to keep it....

After seeing the discussion on the backward compatibility of the new phlatscript release, I went ahead and created some windows batch files. You can use them to easily switch between the old and new script. This should help people who still need to use the old version. Obviously you can use it as an installer, also.

Here is how it works. Unzip the files. Double click "ps_v918.bat" and v918 is installed. Double click "ps_v920.bat" and v920 is installed. They simply overwrite the files....
