Hello. First I want to thank all you who have posted help material relating to the PhatPrinter, SketchUp, and PhlatScript. They have been very helpful. I would like to know if there is any interest in flying saucer type planes. My goal is to further the development of saucers. I would like to submit my KX-5.24 as an entry into this type of plane. This is a symmetrical ribbed 24" diameter saucer. It has an impressive "Cool Factor" when in the air. This is a completed plane that does...
It will fly from snow, grass, water and hardwood floors.... I have flown POD and found it to be quite the performer, though light fingers are needed or a system with dual rates. You could also make the elevons a bit smaller.
There are only 11 parts overall to complete this airframe, I hope you enjoy, details and sketchup plans will be posted later this week. POD and Arctic Cat are only a couple of my designs. I have 209 more that I will...
It is a stager wing bipe of sorts with a huge stager. Also I wanted to try a new method of pitch control. I plan on using the AOA (angle of attack) of the main wing to climb and dive. The first version pictured here glides great and 0 degrees AOA my next step is to put radio gear in her and try it. Do you think it will...
Ah yes. The HOG. Gotta love RCG for their oodles and oodles of scratch built plans and such. This one is a combat type. 62.5 pilot ressurected this one according to his post. Nice little flier looks like. I included score lines where needed to help in folds on the fuse. And also lite scores for the center lines to help alignment.
I was nosing around on the forums and came across another Gene Bond creation. Nice squatty combat plane with lots of wing area. Made for elevon control but I still made the rudder separate. I needed the space. 24" wingspan and 12" at the root. As of this writing I am just about done building this neat little creation. Quick easy build. Servo holes are in the suggested area as well as the carbon fiber rod slots...
3F Chicken by Johnnie W2. Couldn't resist working this up in Sketchup. That wing design was fun to work out. Lot of curves. Give that X and Y a workout. This is a 2 part deal. Just couldn't quite get it all on one sheet and be safe.
