I'm milling a circle (shallow cylinder).

It's centred on the origin of sketchup axes and flat on the horizontal surface.

The safe area is set at a generous distance around the piece and enough clearance for the milling bit (slot drill).

The code generated displaces the origin a few inches away from the drawn origin.

    Why?

    Very confused.

The default origin is at bottom left of the safe area.
To change it, click the big blue question mark in the toolbar and read all of it but especially the bit about the 0,0 offset tool.
Or, some video... (Which does not replace reading the manual!)

    Then

    Thanks Swarfer.

I haven't that offset button. It may be because I've an old version of SketchuCam constrained by my Mach3 machine being Windows XP, won't upgrade past Sketchup 14, and stuck with an old version of the Phlat plugin.

I'll upgrade another machine, and ensure that I've the latest plugin, and merely constrain the CNC machine to service GCode/Mach3.

    Thanks again

    Robin

    SketchUcam is certified to work on Sketchup 7, 8, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.
I test it myself as I have all of them installed, so do upgrade, it works just fine. (and XP does not make a difference either)

    Well, that was sublimely easy.

Offset zero'd and Gcode centred just as needed.

Thanks for the help. I'll refresh my XP/Sketchup 14 machine as well.

Delighted thanks for your patience Swarfer
