I'll be watching with interest! I wonder why they use acrylic? When I was a kid, I used to buy scrape plexiglass from the hardware store and make stuff for my fish tank. I used to put pieces together and just stick a soldering iron straight through the pieces. Basically heat rivet them together. I made a cover for my fish tank this way. It sagged and deform overtime, but that wasn't much of a problem and I used it for a long time. -Kwok
I think they use it because it looks pretty and easier to sell this way also I think it is very easy to cut with a laser I will print spare parts as soon as I get it running, and those will be ugly, but more reliable I guess. One has to start from somewhere
