Can anyone tell me what this is?-http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=127129-46086-669153&lpage=none, they deliver by ups as well, free if ya buy 2 or more, just not sure what the heck it is-
The picture looks like the 3/4" foam that Lowes sells, not 1/4" as described in the ad. Could be the picture is just the wrong picture for the item mentioned. The price coincides with the bundled 26 sheet 1/4" FFF we normally use, but the picture is that of the 3/4 single sheet foam that sells for around $12.
That is Dow BlueCor Protection Board (FFF) that you see in a lot of M&T's videos. That is the same thing I buy locally from Lowes. If you look at the Phrosty I cut pictured in the Announcements section (top of the forum main page) you can see some of the markings on it.
Ive never used FFF before, never been able to find it locally, so Ive been spoiled by depron, I did some searching on The PB but found little info, I beleive it has the skin on only 1 side but can u tell me if this is the wavy stuff? Im hoping to use it for prototyping new planes- Thanks, fred
If it has the skin one one side (very likely) it will be wavy skin on 2 sides has some much smaller waves in it, I really like the new greenguard that lowes is stocking for prototyping
Jeff is right. The item you linked has skin on one side and is wavy. The bundle I am using right now has a big enough wave near the end that it lifted the pressure roller and completely cleared the drive roller. I added sand to the pressure roller for weight and even the wavy stuff cuts fine now.
