Here is a great little flier designed by Motorhead over at RCG. I made a few minor mods to assist in alignment of the parts and to allow use of a larger prop. Flies good on a Blue Wonder and what ever size battery it takes to balance. I also added a 40% Kf top step which I thought would provide enough strength for me to omit the CF spar, but I was wrong, at least with the Green Guard anyway.

    My setup was...
    1500 Kv Blue Wonder
    10A Turnigy Plush esc
    TG9 servos
    2S 1000mah Zippy
    6" GWS prop but needs a 7"

Built mine from Green Guard (I decided I don't like GG) and it flew nice until the first bank... This is where the wings buckled at the fuse and high fived each other.

Anyway I have the plans worked up and OK'd it with Motorhead to share them here.

Please check out Motorhead's website and check out some of his and Leadfeather's other designs.

I made that one up a couple nights ago and cut it out. Set it up for an 8x4.3 prop. Jus need to finish up gluing some parts. I see you did make it easier for assembly. Definitly make it a lot easier for assembly ;) . Nice work sir!

Quick question, how did you mount the motor? I don't see anything that you can mount a firewall to.

Stick mount. There is a recess for the stick, However, I ended up using an ink pen barrel (the outside hollow shaft part of the pen) that just happened to be the correct size for the 8mm BW bearing tube.

Alright just got done with this bad boy. Took 15 min even to cut out at 47 IPM. First plane in a long time that I put LG on. Kind of cool taxiing around. Got to dark so I will test fly this tomorrow. I added a 3mm cf rod along the bottom of the prop cut out area. Set up for a 8.4.3 prop. Blue wonder was the motor of course :D

Second version. Bumped it up to a 31" ws. changed the location of the servos and made a battery cradle.
This one flew a lot better. :D

Here is the files for the latest 32" version EZFly.
The cnc file is for the 32"
In the Sketchup file the 32" version is in the safe zone and the 28" version is just above that.
Please read the included readme text file.

    Ok made a video today.

This is what happens when you tangle with a power line.

Alright yes I am obsessed with this little trainer  . Motorhead is actually supposed to come on the show tonight and talk about this little beauty. Just got done with a 36" version. Modified a few things to make it stronger. 36" really is the limit before you start getting into a slowflyer as opposed to the 31" I built earlier which is much more a sport/touch and go kind of plane. Thank you phlatprinter for letting me make parts on the fly as I built this tough little bird. Everything is corrected now in Sketchup. So the next time I hit a tree I have good plans to make another one :p
