Here you can download all the scripts that I feel are a big help when building designs for use on the PP.
Some are single .rb script files that need to be placed into your Google/Sketchup/Plugins folder and others will be zipped files that require you to read the install txt files included in the zip.

There are tons of scripts written out there for Sketchup and these are just a few free ones that I like to use.
If you find more that you find useful please fell free to add to the list.

    -PhlatScripT/SketchUcam- found here

    UnfoldTool

A great plugin by Jim that will unfold your Sketchup models to create flat parts that can then be cut out on the Phlatprinter and refolded in the real world!
More info on the authors page http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2007/0 ... oldrb.html
    Demo video found here:
    http://www.phlatforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=1483&start=0

    Progress Bar

Some of the other scripts/plugins here use this as a progress bar this one you need to have to run some of the other scripts here

    Weld

This one welds line segments together (will not connect open/broken lines)
Here is a link to a video showing the use of the weld plug-in viewtopic.php?f=65&t=246&start=0

    Repair broken Lines

Repairs broken line segments, this one works OK but really does not get them all

    Slicer

And now a new version that allows you to slice along 'two' axis and creates the intersecting cutout for you with corresponding notches where the parts meet. This creates a nice 3D model as well without having to stack the parts.

This is an older version of slicer that allows you to slice your models. This version allows only on axis, but is nice to create that 'stacked' look of a 3d model. This is on way to create a cool looking 3D slice from a 3d model in Sketchup
This will slice up a 3d model at a certain thicknesses and lay them out flat on the zero plane! Also adds numbers to each slice if you want it too. Nice plugin you can find examples under the Free plans section/Other Here's a link to one called 'the head' viewtopic.php?f=20&t=55

    Exporting to DXF and STL

    Do you need sketchup_to_dxf_stl.rb.
This free script goes into the plugin folder of SketchUp7.
It is activated from the Tools menu
With dxf there are three options; export as meshed triangles, poly lines, or lines. (use lines export for flat 2D designs)

Importing DXF and DWG into Sketchup
    ong>

This will allow you to import DXF and DWG files into Sketchup version 7

    Importing STL files into Sketchup

    This will allow you to import STL files into Sketchup from the File>Import Menu Attached files AllowDWGImportInSketchUp7.msi (678.5 KB)Â SliceModeler.rb (48.1 KB)Â Slicer3.rb (26.4 KB)Â jf_stl_importer.rb (6.9 KB)Â jf_unfoldtool.rb (6.1 KB)Â progressbar.rb (2.7 KB)Â repair_broken_lines.rb (1.4 KB)Â sketchup_to_dxf_stl.rb (10.6 KB)Â weld.rb (5 KB)Â

Awesome, thanks for compiling it for us. However, I am new and I cannot find the PhlatScripT link.... Every one of them says file is no longer there.

Ok, I went to smustard and found everything except repair broken lines. Is it somewhere else, or obsolete, or am I just lost again?

    RepairBL and Phlatten plugin
I wrote this plugin for Mark which combines the "Repair Broken Lines" and the Phlatscript Phlatten feature. He suggested I post it here, but I started it's own thread just to keep the discussion from cluttering up this thread. Check it out here: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=1584#p15541

Hi swim93, welcome to the forum. A few sections below this one on the main page is a forum called PhlatScript Help. Go ahead and start a new thread there and ask away.

    Pocket plugin for sharpie attachment

[Modified by Kram242 08-30-2010 Set this one up for a smaller step over on the creation of the pocket lines to use as a sharpie mod by changing bit diameter from 3.15mm to 0.03125 in]
Works well but feel free to test and come up with your own results :)
