Yesterday a little after 5PM....This was after I drove for about 10 minutes, and the temperature normalized. It was 120something when I started off. The thermometer in my car seems to be a bit more accurate compared to the radio and my phone than the bank thermometers that sit in the sun. Those were in the low 100 teens.
This AM it was 84 on my way into work at 7:30AM

If this keeps up over the weekend, it will be too hot to fly. I don't think I ever said that before. :) Attached files [IMG]

In Wichita, KS we are looking at a mere 109 degrees this afternoon. Reminds me of when I lived in Tucson, AZ but, this ain't no dry heat here in the midwest!

109  Now that's crazy hot. I hear ya on the no dry heat thing. Our typical summers are in the upper 80s with humidity to match. Our bout with 90+ temps were with about 50% or so humidity so it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but still uncomfortable. Hope your 109 doesn't move our way

Worst I've experienced was in Belize... 99F with 90something% humidity, and that was in the morning when we ported. Not sure what it ever got to. Could cut it with a knife... Ocean was a like a sheet of glass.. never seen anything like it.

You can keep the snow, Mark. :D I'll take the heat anyday. :dance3: That's why I lived in the Dominican Republic in the first place. Here in SoCal it's dry and sometimes about 100° or so but at night it's down right cold. I sleep with the window open and have to use a blanket sometimes around 2am.

Well I must admit, the snow here does get old quick, but I really like the seasonal changes. They don't seem to last very long so just when you need a change of pace it happens. Everything starts over fresh and new. I was raised in Fl so I never had this, it was either hot or hotter.
I like the idea of cracking the window at night for some cool air, maybe Cali is the place to be. :good:

Just a few weeks ago it was 118 out here in Phoenix. A little on the warm side but you can always cool off in your nice and warm pool.
