It's a legit video. I saw him flying helis a couple of years ago, I think he was close to six years old at the time. Very talented for his age. Haven't seen or heard much from him since he lost control of a heli and it went into a crowd. One guy got somewhat hurt from the flying debris. I think the father pulled back on the publicity stunts quite a bit since that incident.
I've seen him as welll flying helis. Amazing ability but many were concerned about his age and maturity handling this equipment. Not based on any more than his age when i saw him he did and handled everything well. I did not hear about his incident that is unfortunate
We had a kid at our club who leaned to fly using RealFlight simulator. He was 4 years old at that time. His dad had him flying a Sig Kadet out at the field. It took the kid about three months to learn how to fly on the simulator. The kid is 8 years old now and flies his dad's 1/4 scale Edge 540 every now and then. Young children have an amazing capacity to learn. As a former music teacher I was always amazed at the skill some kids developed. The reasons kids learn as fast as they do is social motivation ( look at me I'm COOL), and the fact that at their age they don't have any real responsibilities, or the day to day pressures of an adult. Good stuff. GHB
I think he is 10 now This is some old footage but his dad trains him like a military Sargent..... Very aggressive, not sure how that will play out when he is older. Hope to see him enjoying flying in future events, Go Justin
My 6-year-old son can fly really well.....his landings are well...he get's all the parts to the ground anyway. I have not let him touch a heli yet...way too many sharp parts flying around....
