We have 2 Special guests this week on the Phlatlab show. Al aka blindflight talks with us about a hand launch glider he has been working on. You have to check this out! It's awesome. Along with us in the Phlatlab is our nephew Wil. We work on a foam paratrooper which turned out pretty cool. Thanks for watching!

The Paratrooper looks awesome, Mark...gives me ideas. I wonder if it would be controllable with micro servos?

(Side note..I gotta check my forum settings, I didn't get a notification that there was a reply...)

Well, it looks like you cut in elevons/flaps/ailerons/something to enable you to trim the glide...

    And it responds to them....

I am wondering if one were to mount micro servos and use them for the control surfaces, how it would act? I know getting it all to fold up so it can deploy easy might become tricky at that point, but it would be neat to see it as a controllable chute drop, like these:

    but outta foam...

Heck, depending on the weight, you might even get away with powering it, and have one cool indoor flyer that would blow some people's minds.

Sorry Guyz, I forgot to post him

@Tim, I was looking for this file to post and came across the first version I was working on a while back and it was powered! :banger: I never did get the chance to try it out but maybe you can. I have posted the files for both the powered and the newer glider version in the link below.
Have fun and please share if you make/modify it.
    Thanks guyz, have fun!
