Thanks, the ability to reorder the pieces to get the most efficient cut is great! I wish there was a way to be able to change the phlatboyz parameters and just recreate the gcode. Sometimes the material I cut comes in different thicknesses, or I need to use a different bit and having to redo the inside, outside.....cuts is a pain. If there was a way that sketchucam could redefine the cuts when creating a gfile that would be great! Or just a button to redefine the cuts using the new parameters...

Nice update, thank you. It's still my primary g-code generator for all but 3D printing of course. Unfortunately, or maybe not, I had to bail on SK as my primary drafting software and go with Inventor. SK just couldn't keep up with my pace and object form complexity. It's still great for g-code though. Awesome work.

for different thickness, you can in fact just change the material setting and regenerate.
for different bits..... this would be quite tricky to automate.

    Before this becomes a FAQ:
If you select Multipass cuts , centerline, fold and pocket cuts will do a segment at a time all the way to depth before moving to the next segment whereas inside and outside cuts will do a layer all the way round before doing the next layer. This is a hold over from the 'old' method of doing multipass. This is on the list of fixes for 1.2. (at least it doesn't retract for every pass like it used to.... :)

Thanks for the tip! That's great news. I try to stick to the .0625 bits, it's mostly the material thickness that changes.

I am a diehard fan of the long time of Phlatscript SketchUcam
Although I have other programs to generate the gcode (ArtCAM etc ...) on a daily basis still prefer using SketchUcam in most cases.
Thanks to all the developers, those responsible for the forum and all colleagues who tested this wonderful tool for the sketchup users worldwide...

Thanks Marco. I think you did the translation to Portugese? There are some new strings in the 'Phlatboyz.strings' file for you to update :) and I think there are still some strings to add to that.

You can just copy those plugins to the Sketchup8/plugins folder and they will work as usual.
    Incorporating them:
1 - depends on licensing... some can be redistributed, others not....
2 - downside is that if they (the writers of 3rd party plugin) do an update, we might miss it, or maybe that forces us to do a new release when we are not really ready for that. what to do?

note that Sketchup Make (the 2013 version) exports DXF in the free version.

Really really digging the new SketchuCAM. Finally got off my duff and graduated to 2013 from SU7-and this was the catalyst. This is all too awesome. Thanks Swarfer! Thanks original contributors, and thanks to M&T!

Yeah, the 2013 version is nice. If they only would support the 'get attribute', like the SU7 does, I would stay with it.

I use the 'get attribute' to change the depth of the center-line and fold-line cuts and I can't do it in the 2013 version.

I've got a plugin here somewhere that displays all attributes for a selected item. but what you're describing is something else, can you describe what you're doing and how, exactly? Being able to edit fold line depths seems a useful thing...

I just tried it and Attributes works just fine for me in Sketchup 2013. Yoram maybe you have something that is conflicting with it.

For anyone who wants to know what attributes does here it is.
After applying a phlatboyz tool just highlight the line or lines, right click on them and select attributes. From here select get attributes. This will show what depth a fold tool for example is and will let you change it from there.

    Here is the plugin.

I did right click on the line but the drop down menu didn't have the attribute option. I'll look at it again, maybe I missed something. I'll try the .rb that you posted, Shaun, or better say I'll look if it is in the folder first. If not I'll add it and we'll see then how things go.

EDIT: Yep, that was the problem, the lack of the .rb file. I added it and now I have the attribute in the drop down menu.

    SUCam in 2013

The [erase selected edges] doesn't seem to work very well. It is leaving alot of stray lines behind.
