Hey guyz, Roger Quintero (on You Tube) has come up with this awesome design for a cable chain. We have sent him a message asking if he would be willing to share it here on the Phlatforum with everyone.
TOTALLY OFF TOPIC Mark, did you get my email? BACK TO TOPIC Didn't we just had someone posting a chain here? Is/was it the same design?
Hi guys, Here's the file for the cable carrier. Thanks Roger Quintero Attached files Cable Carrier.skp (773.6 KB)Â

Hey Roger thanks bro for sharing this very cool of you! Its truly a work of art the way its designed, nice job. Mark and Trish P.S. Hi Yoram, got your mail and sent you the files
Thank you for sharing this Im new to the CNC world. Ive used them at work but im now building my own I will post my progress just waiting for the parts to arrive
Off Topic Hi Mark and Trish, Somehow the video has gone missing on this thread. let me know if I need to do something on my end. Thanks
If you could re-post it that would be great Roger, it seems there are a lot of missing elements from the transfer
This is a simple cable carrier ( E-Chain ) that I designed using Google SketchUp. Rendering was done with Maxwell Render and G-Code was generated with SketchUCam ( Thank You Phlatboyz.com ). This cable carrier design doesn't require offsets or pocketing on the CNC. There's no need for screws, pins, snap joints or glue to put together. The carrier locks it self in place as you assemble it. I used 1/8" hardboard with an 1/8" bit for this first run but any hard plastic would be a better choice.
Another version of the cable carrier of my own. Advantages of placing any cable and close. See Video 2 Disadvantages: Has to be glued. File attached / Carrier Cable.skp Video 1 Video2 Video3
