Hi I downloaded this file this morning and it was pretty much ready to cut, I had sent it to g code and found out it was to long for the foam i had. so i want to change the way it was laid out , and loss it all. I am new to this anyway i tried to redownload it and now i cant do anything with it , and ideas what i did?
roger2525, Hello just wanted to let you know I updated the file. This file was created before the Phlatscript so there were no parts that were worked up using the Phlatscript. I have gone through and worked the parts up for you and they are grouped so now you can set up your new safe cutting area for your foam size and rearrange the parts to fit inside so that you can recreate the code for the foam size you are using Hope this helps Mark
Mark Thank for the quick reply, but I am still haning a problem with is, I think part of the problem is that it showing up as a GMFC file which is my hotwire foam cutter software, how can I change it over to go into Sketchup 7. When I try to load it into Sketchup 7 I get a message like this (this does not appear to be a Sketchup model) Thank Roger
The .skp file is the sketchup file. Since you want to cut with different size foam, you need to redo the layout in sketchup and use the phlatscript plugin to generate new .cnc cut files. -Kwok
Are you trying to load the .cnc files listed or the .skp files? The .cnc files will load with your cutting software, the .skp file will load in Sketchup
Howdy What a cool airplane. This one was cut out of Depron. Here are some pictures before the maiden. I have had this model for WELL over a year sitting in a pizza box that Bird Of Play cut for me. A Big Thanks goes out for Green1277  for putting it together for me. Cheers E-T Oh by the way thats Nanners in the back ground. :ugeek: Attached files
It's funny you posted this E-T. I just gave mine away to a close friend of mine who came to visit me last weekend and have been redesigning my full fuse version tonight in Sketchup. Your gonna love flying it! Here are some pics of it. This was before the pp and was all cut out by hand. Attached files
Nice guys!! they are sweet looking. Glen showed us the stickers he made last night before they went on and they came out great!! Nice job Hope the maiden went well? Mark
They are servo controlled!! How cool is that!? At Evil-Tunes house he showed me that he has it mixed so that he can hit a 3way switch on his controller and go to 3 different positions or he can set it so that the faster he throttles up the more the wings move in! and of course the slower you fly the more the wings will move outward!! Its really cool to see in person. Mark
I have had this plane for over a year now, make sure you use at least a Hitec 81MG for the wing sweep. Metal gear is a necessity on this thing
