A way to bring a Sketchup file into Blender

    This is good stuff. Thanks for posting it Jeff.

    We at one time had a section here that accidentally got wiped when the forum was updated or something. I think it would be nice if we could rebuild that section again. It was I think a Blender section.
    I remember Erik(TVcasualty) had a post about learning touse Blender and there was a new member who had a link to a program that would generate gcode from blender too.

    I played around a little with Blender but it has a higher learning curve than Sketchup but I would still eventually like to learn it more.

    Just curious, why would I want to use blender? What can it do for us that SU will not do?

    Blender can output .stl files that alot of people use for 3-d cutting

    What program would you import the .stl file it to in order to make a cut file out of it?
