Hey everyone,

I think this is my first post here. I'm pretty new to the cnc game.

I am having this weird issue with the pocketing tool. I've read that this particular tool is quite bugged, but this isn't exactly a complicated geometry or anything. The green is what I would like to pocket, but the program just will not let me select that face. I can select the large inner red as well as the tiny little squares only.

Is there a selection logic that I am unaware of?

That is a complicated geometry and the pocket tool can not deal with it. If you divide it to many small, regular, faces it will make the pockets and after using the pocket tool you can delete the dividers.

 

Thank you. For some reason, I figured it would have to be broken down with curves. I did get through successfully. Thank you again.
