Just saw an article about the local amusement park being voted the "Favorite Traditional Park" in the world by the National Amusement Park Historical Association; which got me thinking that the school picnics are right around the corner; which got me thinking about the new coaster at the park this year; which got me thinking.... How many Phlatmembers are coaster junkies? We have the love of aviation and tinkering/creating in common, so why not coasters? The family are huge coaster junkies. We've spent a few summers roaming the east cost hitting as many parks as we could fit in. Even got to get in some ride time with the roller coaster enthusiasts, whom we stumbled into at Hershey Park. So if you have a love of coasters/amusement parks; what are your favorites?
I can't call myself a coaster junkie, but I love roller coasters too. Being that I live in Florida I've been to all the main coasters in Orlando and Tampa. I like the Hulk (Islands of Adventure) in Orlando. Sheikra (Busch Gardens Tampa) was a cool one too. It's floorless. I did get to Cedar point once and I have to agree that place had the most awesome roller coasters ever. My wife unfortunately isn't into them like me so I have to plead with her to get on them. She's ok unless they have a big drop off .
Love the coasters, Cedar Point is about 2 hrs away. The 4th of July is the best day to go. short lines and a nice fireworks show. Jeff
