If i want to slow a cut way down for say light ply, can i set the feedrate slower in the parameters?
If so, what would be a good feedrate for light ply? 1/16"

Yes in the parameters box. I've been cutting regular 1/16" ply at 20ipm. It also depends on what kind of bit your using. the chipbreaker bits or endmills cut fine for me at 20 ipm, but I know some other guys on here cut a little slower.

yea jeff, what Shaun says...I'm one of the slow fellas on the phlatboyz, lols. i feed with 15imp and plunge at 20...when your cutting, you can tell if ther is excessive tool pressure....you can see the tool deflection in the cuts. randy.

Yah....I had mine set at 20IPM and the tool would wander all over....I slowed it down to 15IPM and it worked great. If you use the slider on the Mach3 screen it'll slow your rapids as well.....blech.....

Cool, I am only going to use a 1/32" bit so will need to cut pretty slow so I don't break it off.
I am tired of spending $3 for 2 control horns that never seem to work right.
I was using dental flossers but getting them exact was too much of a hassle.
Now if those bits ever show....................................
