    TRying to play with 3-d, my head hurts LOL.
    make a 9" sign with my wifes business name....
    back plotted the fishing lure,to dxf then imported into sketchup. a whopping 42" lure!!!
    Now we have big fish in here in Alaska, but I ain't fishing for whales(or bigger??) :lol:
    How did this file come about?
    did you find it some where, made it your self??

    I have been playing with other bit maps into tool path.
    using BMP bender then into meshcam.
    Any one else have input???

    I may have amswered my own question, the skp tostl plugin and it worked, cool

    I think thats how I did it. But what program are you using to make the 3d toolpath? I had artcam

    ARTCAM! how much did that cost you?? Isn't that the real expensive one like several grand, maybe i,m thinking of the otherone....
    Anyway I used meshcam.
    cnc4free is a site that I'd say might be a low cost solution for those on a shoestring.
    A free program I found the other day that microsoft bought(now that's scary) is
    True Space, google it, does 3-d modeling, and a whole lot more, tons of videos, gota go to work now, later......

    I have been experimenting with a lot of different programs demos out there, I could never afford artcam but it works well. I like the cut2Dprogram by velectric as well.
    There is a free program out there called CAMBAM and that seems to work well too.
