    http://www.iqlight.com/ - self assembly lighting system made up of interlocking quadrilaterals.
    Lamps of various shapes and sizes can be constructed by linking together the identical elements.

    That is pretty cool. I bet that with 2-3mm foam would work great. Maybe use colored leds too.
