    Hi Guys,
Don't know if anybody can help with this one??

I've just installed the Phlatscript in Sketchup Pro 7 on Win XP 32.....

I get the following screen alert box every time I hit the parameters button:

Any ideas?? I don't know if it's a bug or if I just got something installed wrong.

    Best Regards,
    Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

Not sure.... Did you mean to install this on the D drive? We usually install on the C drive.

Yup! My program files usually live on D: with the OS on C:.......

But I just tried a re-install to C: and got the same result.

Fozzy send gasmasher a PM about "getting the safe dialogue boxes to work" He will send you some code to get you aways from using the html side, which may help.

Thanks..... I will do.... I just got things working, but this is a bug in the code.....If I start sketchup with the "simple" template or any of the others it works.... If I start it with the "engineering feet" template it fails with that alert box

    Best Regards,
    Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

P.S. Mark and Trish are raising a ticket on this one...

humm. I wonder what cues that?
What I have done for a template is set the colors as I like them and then change the units to 4 digit decimal, along with a few other features... You can even drop in components if you may need them often. The go to the file save template, and you can make your own custom default that will auto load with each new model.

This was the key to the problem and it is a bug. The code assumes the bit diameter and material thickness will be returned from Sketchup as a fraction of an inch with a double quote (") appended. The engineering feet template causes SU to return the size as a fraction of a foot with a single quote (') appended. The single instead of double quote is what is causing the javascript error you are getting.

Great! thanks for letting me know.... OK no problem, I just need to remember to avoid that template for now and use the others. I'll leave it with you, to determine if you want to pop a fix in there or not. It's not a major problem in terms of functionality when it comes to working with the Phlatprinter. Easy to live with. Just one that we need to be aware of.

I must remember not to use the word BUG.. I know programmers hate it.... It's not a Bug! It's "an undocumented feature"
    LOL

I'm surprised you wanted to use feet.
You must be building BIG planes. :D

I'm thinking you might of did the engineering template because of the white background???
If so you can make your own template too by using the arcitectural template but change the background to white. Then save it as a custom template, now each time you open Sketchup that is the template that will show up.

Ahh! now... why did I want to use the Engineering template..... I was importing one of my 3D Models originally built in 3D Canvas. It was built in there at full size. It's a train not a plane. 3 foot gauge, Denver & Rio Grande Western K36 Class.

Thanks for the tip on generating a custom template!
