There is an interesting discussion taking place over at the RCFlightCast forums (forums.rcflightcast.com) that I thought I would mention over here. Brian picked up a strand of LED lighting at his local Walmart to try out on a night-flyer. The strand contains 30 bulbs and the power is supplied by 3 C cells (4.5 volts). I am thinking of slipping over to my local store to see if I can spot some of those. For only about $8, I could route all of the bulbs under the hood of my machine and then tap the 5volt source on the card to light them up! What do you guys think??
They would be great for adjusting the bit height. I saw LED lights at "Target Super Store" that are LED Solar powered!!! I'll go back and check them out .
Another place that would be good to look is in the car stores. Pepboyz and Auto Zone up here. They have tons of cool led and neon tubing that is run from 12v! I thought man you could trick out your PP just like these guys are doing case mods from their computer cases. First PP with hydrolics wins! Here is what I have been using for my PP. A little battery powered light I found at Biglots for around 3 bucks I think. You could mod the switch and tie it into a relay. To switch it on and off using the spindle trigger in the code (which is already output in every code the PhlatScripT creates) That would be a cool mod. Attached files
Install a strobe light so it looks like nothing is happening That is a good idea though. install a set of lights in a strategic spot. Could really help. hmmmm. I'll work on that.
