I found this one rather cute, so I started it in Sketchup. I have one of which I've melted a windtip. Whoops. Here is presented the unpowered version (has tail feathers). Its an easy conversion to the powered version. It still has some work to do. Let me know about anything obvious that I've missed. 3D cutting would be nice in future...

The original plans may be obtained from the website, located at http://jroger.nuxit.net/berliweb/martin ... rtinet.htm

Materials I used are 6mm depron and .21" piano wire for control rods. I have used a Spektrum AR6400 in mine.

    I have also included the permission from Gerard Jumelin;

    "Hello Scott
Why not - I would prefer a link from your site to jivaro.org
a picture of the bird that send to the french site ?
Another link to Stephan Brehm homepage and you have the Variante 75 plan download construction with picts in english language
A very similar construction and a great help to shape a bird or flying wing
Funny I am in holiday in the south near Spain border and I just flew my Martinet this afternoon
    Best Regards,
    Gerard"

So, say hello and send him photos of any Martinet that you make. :) I might see next what I need to reshape it to suit an Australian Welcome Swallow. Attached files martinet.skp (12.1 MB)Â

ZombieBait, that looks like a fun and unique model! Thanks for posting it. :D
Here is the webpage "translated" by BabelFish: http://tinyurl.com/28qwuvh
(I know it's not perfect English, but for those of us that don't read French, it still helps a lot.)

This is a cool looking bird. I like how the powered version he extends the motor shaft from the front to the back.

I do to Shaun and that in itself lends to a lot of new concept type aircraft that could be created.
You know I was thinking that it would be cool to make this one with the feather graphics for the sharpie pen attachment on the MKIII so that we could do the art as well as the cutouts :D

Yeah. I included Gerard's original graphic file as I thought the most common way for people to apply the graphic would be onto paper via their inkjet or laserprinter. However, if there's a future inkjet module for the P3... ;-D

This Bird is somewat small for my taste. I'm Thinking %150. 30" wing span w/KF foil sounds about rite.
Not sure where to put motor. I like the fact that he did it out the back... [IMG]
