Will the CNC USB software read mastercam files. I have been teaching myself mastercam and haven't figured out how to export the files to a format the cnc software will read.

I haven't had any luck. I followed the setting given in you link. When I try to open the mastercam file in the CNC software, it gives an error " error in G-code line 19 invalid charactor".
I have tried different parts and all of them return the same error. I must be missing something.

When I wanted to check, if default posprocessor in Mastercam generates g-code which can be used wit controller, I found out, that it works if I disable cycles.
I don't have any experiance with Mastercam and I'm sure there are other (better) solutions.

Can you send me g-code to email so I can check it.

    Regards
    Andrej

So I figured it out. I wasn't posting the toolpath to an .NC file. I was trying to get the CNC-USB software to read a direct .MCX (Mastercam file). All works fine now. I am still learning mastercam.
Also when you set up mastercam, make sure it is the default mill. Don't use a router, because it uses an N-code on output.
