Here's a file I have always wanted to try to make. Neat little puzzle
    Its the Escher Reptiles
I did my best to get it a close as possible, but its not easy because if you change one side the receiving end has to change as well and it sets off a chain of changes :)
    A little about Escher
    1/4" fan fold
    1/8" stock bit

Really cool stuff. I love that interlocking stuff, but never knew what it was called.

My son loves lizards (just don't ask him about them 'cause he'll tell you WAY more than you would ever want to know), so it looks like I'll be cutting some this weekend.

    THANKS for posting.

Leaping lizards! This file is so cool. It's awesome how it goes together.

Here's a short crazy video I made of the cutting :)

I went overboard with the effects but it was fun :fugly:
    Hope you like it

Mark, I hope you are putting that video up on YouTube. It's spectacular!

I have got to get your source for the music you are using in your vids. Good stuff!

Certainly will make some with the laser and post pics but it may be a while.

(I am sure you know this already but Acrylic is one of those few materials which sublimates [changes from a solid to a gas without going through the liquid stage]. The laser vapourises the stuff almost instantly so I have a powerful extraction system to remove the gasses, unfortunately, this also removes the heat in my workshop and it soon drops to outside ambient which is below the temperature at which I want to operate the laser, computer, machines etc. Fortunately spring is on the way, buds are starting to show and Tweakie will soon be up and running again :D )

Well we got an unusually mild day today so the laser was back into action. I have always been fascinated by Escher's drawings and it was very rewarding to make some of his lizards. Thanks for the file guys.

We spent 2 weeks in the UK about 2 years ago, but never made it to those parts. Closest was Southampton. We loved all of the UK, what a beautiful area, so diverse.
