We experiment with a new Phlat Lab layout and camera as well as cut out and display scary skeletons climbing out of the Phlatprinter. Happy Halloween everyone!

Here is the X prize car we discussed on the show tonight. Team WIKISPEED has picked up a Phlatprinter 3 to help them with protoyping parts for their X prize car. Very cool!
Here is a link to their site if you want to check out their project: http://www.wikispeed.com/

Notes: I used the "tubes" that are cut off from the FFF (to separate the sheets) and glued them up the spines of the skeletons, on the back. Then I bought a bundle of 75 landscaping stakes (the 16" long wire kind, with an orange plastic flag) ($8 at Lowe's) and ran one of them through that tube and into the ground.
Also, I created the cnc file for my 1/8" bit because I don't remember where I put my 1/16" bit, but it would work a lot better if the file were regenerated for a 1/16" bit. I think all the dropout pieces would stay attached by using the smaller bit, also.

Thanks again for uploading the show so quickly. I actually totally forgot about the live show today (I was at work though, anyway), so it was a nice surprise to see it here. Looking forward to watching it right now :)

Dennis, that's a very creative use of scrap (the trimmed off FFF ends) and cheap stuff (the flag wires)!! Without a doubt, I would have over-engineered it making a trip to the LHS to pick up pushrod tubes. LOL

    Good job!
