That was perfect, I was forgetting the resourses folder. and I saved the template to ????
I will save it to desktop and try again. You spent your valuable time making a vid, I feel like an idiot when I stumble over simple stuff like this.

When I get all this figured out, The Phlatboyz are going to get some very cool airplanes.

    Thanks
    Jeff

    :D!! COOL! (planes)
No problem at all, we really need to get a video together that goes through the whole process in the beginners section. That has been a work in progress, but it needs to get finished :)

Are most people still using Sketchup 7? I really like the ability to import a dxf file, and I also like the fact that it is free. Recently Itried to open up someones sketchup file and version 7 would not open it...bummer. Am I behind the times? What version of sketchup are you guys running now?

I still prefer 7. If you want to open a file that was made in 8 you can open it in 8 and save it as version 7.

I tried the new 2013 version. I went back to 7. The new version doesn't support the 'get attribute' which I use a lot to see what depth I used for center line and fold line cuts.

Thanks guys - If it's good enough for you guys it's overkill for me. I'll stick with 7 and just use 2013 to downward convert.
Any new sport plane designs, I'd like to cut something new out? I want to build an indoor plane to fly in an area the size of 2 basketball courts. Something that's not to hard to keep in the air and off the wall/ceiling. I'm not a 3D pilot ...yet.
My F22 died - brownout followed by a nasty crash... I'll have to cut out another one (and get a better receiver/BEC.) I managed to break the wing on my Lill Ripper (I'll use a better spar next time)..pulled out (instead of rolling out) of a fast aileron roll on my FT3D ...need a new prop shaft. My fleet is dwindling! I retired my foamboard flying wing- it was getting very soft on the nose (brownout/dropout on orange DSM2 receivers is very common here). I'll try out a scratch FPV tomorrow, and I still have a assasin, reaktor, baby blender, spitfire, blue babby, oshkosh special...to play with. Unfortunately it's getting very hot and very humid around here. Good build weather though.
