    Hi,

I have an imac running mac os x 10.5.8 and SketchUp Pro 7 (7.1.6859).

I have unarchived phlatscript and copied -
    a) the contents of the unarchived Resources folder into the sketchup Resources folder
    b) the unarchived Tools folder to a new folder alongside the sketchup Resources folder.

I loaded up sketchup and went to the extensions and phlatscript was there.

I tried the sketchup help page -
    http://sketchup.google.com/download/rubyscripts.html
And copied the contents of the tools folder into the plugins folder.

I loaded up sketchup and went to the extensions and again this was not successful.

Anyone got any ideas about how to proceed?
    -Neil.

    Hi Tim,

I have read that thread, and tried what was suggested, and had no success.

What confused me in that thread was that they referred to a 'Tools' folder in sketchup - and my version of sketchup had no tools folder. So I just added one in - but still no success.

OK. I am running System 10.4.11 and SketchUp 7.1.4870.

You are saying that you have no /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Tools folder? If that folder is not there, I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling SketchUp. You might want to even want to re-download it. When I went to put the proper files in their places, the correct folders were there.

    Tim

    Hi,

I deleted sketchup pro and re-installed it. The directory is as follows -
    /Contents
    > Frameworks
    info.plist
    > MacOS
    > PlugIns
    > Resources

There is no Tools folder. Also have looked, and have not found a tools folder further down the directory tree.

    Regards,
    Neil.

    Look in this folder:
    MacHD/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Tools

Neil - Did you download the installation file again, and re-install from that file? I had similar weird problems once because the first file I downloaded was incomplete. Download it to a different place than the first one and compare file sizes.

Also found this tidbit of info. May help. Works on my skechup Ruby Console Window. You can type in a different folder name to look for, ie tools:

    Hi All,

Have managed to get it working!

Here is how I went wrong -
I tried to install phlatscript in the program "applications" folder, instead of the "library/application support" folder.

Thank you to all those who participated in this thread. I appreciate the time you took to help out.

    Regards,
    Neil.

I also would like to thank everyone who helped here. I have no idea when it comes to the Mac OS but I am glad that if anyone runs into this problem in the future it can be solved by checking this thread, not to mention that we have gained the knowledge to help them as well.
    Thank you all great job
    Mark and Trish
