    Hi Fellas,

Just a few of pics my latest 39" Ultimate bipe.

All 9mm EPP from RCFoam, cut at 20ipm on a 3mm bit with the original MK1 Phlatty.

Flys great on 300w and even better on 600 ;)

Cheers Mark and Trish for creating a truly affordable cnc'er ..awesome job guys !! Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Now just keep it in one piece until I get to fly it, lol

    BTW, I think you mean 20ipm ;)

    Nice!
I just started to design a full fuse Ultimate myself to use with fan fold foam. Mine probably won't be done for a while though.

Cheers guys ..hopefully get a Video as soon as we get some sunny English weather (probably 6-8 months away at this rate ;)

 yep I meant 20 ipm not ips (cheers Si) . Yer always welcome to have a go bud, just bring a bag of spare lipos :?

Hi Bill, sorry I cant post cut files as its going to be featured as a plan in a magazine in the UK (and USA). All I can say is if you're looking at building something similar size the phlatty is worth its weight in gold...all the cuts are absolutely spot on and the edge finish is superb.

Also big thanks to Si (firetrappe) for pointing me in the direction of the phlatty in the first place...its the best few hundred quid ive spent in a very long time

    Very nice!
I noticed with the bigger balsa versions there is a little bit of positive incidence it the top wing. Did you do this too or are they both straight? I'm still working on mine and that is one factor I'm not sure if I want to incorporate.
It looks like it flies very well.

    Hi Shaun,

Zero incedence on all the flying surfaces and motor thrust . Ive got about 2 degs right thrust on the motor and thats about it. CG is balanced to fly lhands off (level) inverted and it only needs a fraction of rudder in knife-edge at normal flying speeds. Alround its very stable and neutral even with the stubby clipped wing, (think the long tail moment helps a bit)

Also flys great at low speeds ..I just kept the revs up because it was getting a bit gusty ;)

    Hi Dude ,

The motor was an Overlander Thumper 4240 spinning an APC14 x 7. Probably a similar spec motor to the Hacker a30-14l . Its only on 3 cells but Im pulling just over 50 amps on WOT although it unloads quite a bit in the air.

Might try it someday on 4 cells and see what happens

    Oh, the Lipos are UH 2200 - 40C, Rhino 3750 - 20c and Overlander 3300 - 30c and using a Turnigy Plush esc

Thanks, that info gave me the push to do a little research. I may upgrade somewhere in the middle with a hacker A30-28S or similar, whatever that is. I only gain a half oz. and at least a 100W to give me 350+W on a 18oz foamy. Hmmm, seems a little silly typing those numbers in the same sentence.
