Pockets??

    I have yet to see a really efficient pocket technique inside of Sketchup only. I personally rely on a 3rd party CAM program to provide me with pocket paths, which then get stroked with the centerline tool when I bring it back in Sketchup. This works great for my needs.

    I use "Enroute", but if you dig around a bit, you might find a cheaper or free solution. I've posted about it here but you'll have to use the search function. Pocket code generatators can be expensive due to the apparent complexity involved.

    If you don't mind making a seperate cut file, then tell the machine you are running material that is the thickness of the depth of the pockets. Use the inside cut tool, with the overcut set at 100% for the outside of the pocket, then do the zig zag with the centerline tool at 100% cut depth.
