Yesterday evening, during the live video, Mark was messing around with installing a led light for his Y-axis pointer. I suggested he could possibly use the linear rails to carry power to the led. Then you wouldn't have a wire flopping around. So I thought I show you guys this micro size plane, I made a while back, that uses similar principles. The wingspan is ~5". It is made with regular copy paper and some balsa (tail boom & wing spar). It is constrained to fly in a circle with wires, like a control line model airplane. Except it also get electrical power through the wires, to run a electric motor (pager). Power is supplied by one AA battery (1.5V). My guess it's using about 100ma current. Prop is made from coke bottle plastic.

I just got me a youtube account, and put up a video of it. See the next post. Thanks to 3dmon for embedding it for me.

    Fast litle thing isn't it.
All you had to do to imbed it was highlight the webaddress and click the you tube box. It looks like you clicked the url box instead.
    Cool concept Kwok.

Thanks, you learn something new every day. It is fast. Actually, too fast for my liking, with a fresh AA battery. I normally use a weak one. One day, I am going to have to redo it with proper bearings.
