ok guys, what is the trick for cutting a 1/8" slot for 3mm depron with the 1/8 inch bit. Do I have to draw a center line where I want the cut and then calculate the .0625 radius of the bit at the ends?

When I try to do them now they just dont show up in the nc code.

    Thanks

Just make your box and do an inside cut on it. It should only show up as one blue line in the middle or if you want just do a centerline and set the depth at 120

Sounds like you got the right idea. Draw a line, apply the centerline or fold line tool, make sure you change the depth setting to 110% so it will cut all the way through, output to gcode, done. If this is what your doing it should show up in the gcode. If your still having problems you might want to post a su file for us to help you further.

You will find that a 1/16" bit will be best for the 3mm depron, the slots cut nice and crisp!! now that I have changed over I cant go back :D

If you like the 1/16 for 3mm, you should try the 1/32" bit. You will not want to go back to the 1/16 then....

Hey Flash, I need to try one, I bet you get really sharp corners with this one, especially in the tab area!! How long is the cutting flute?

    Thanks
