Totally off topic but kind of unbelievable. I was searching youtube for vids on a LazyBee because I've got a friend building one. It's the second foam build in his 50 years of modeling, and it looks way to good. I better punch a couple holes in it before I fly to calm my nerves. I think I'll put his skill to good use and have him do the Hellcat posted a few days ago for the next build.

Anyways the first couple scenes in the vid made me smile. That is my kind of plane. Not really that exact one but the wear and tear tells such a story of many good times. I've had planes like that, ulgy, wore out dogs that wouldn't die. They always seemed to become my favorite over time.

I had an Ace Super Pacer that went over ten years of weekend tear up the sky sessions, with one span over three years on the same wood prop. I ran a piped OS 25FSR and figure I'd flown it the distance equal to a trip around the world,,,twice. Same motor, same original covering job, same wheels. It finally oil soaked beyond the ability of K2R to remove. Not many have gone on the bonfire whole  bitter sweet it was :) Attached files [IMG]

I believe the owner is the guy on RCG that did a DYI CNC on the cheap and very innovative. I can't find the thread at the moment but his MacGyverism level dwarfs my level three pocket protector geekdom by a factor of three at least.

I can't believe that motor can still run in that condition. I would think the carb would be sucking so much air that it would not even start.

Gotta admit, that guy has gotten his moneys worth out of that plane.

The Lazybee owner just got too lazy to replace that front bearing :D
I can't get over the fact that engine ran pretty decent too.
Gotta love the way those Lazybees fly.
