Funny story, Mark's birthday is this Friday. His Mom called him today and said let's go pick up your birthday present. So, he goes with her to find a really pretty but skinny cat hiding under his aunt's car. It was in the middle of a big rain storm and they couldn't get the cat so they went to the store and she bought all of the new cat essentials. Now, we have one skinny cat and we are searching for a name. Any ideas?

That's funny, Frank. We have a 22 pounder named CJ. He has a serious eating disorder, but has been the source of so much entertainment over the last six years. When he manages the energy to jump into one of our laps, and we don't "brace" for the impact, we really feel it. LOL

Ty for a boy, TAI for a girl. I rescued a cat from under the railroad tracks a few years back and we named him Ty. He lives in a great big house with over 300 acres to run and play and chace micce.

He has a fit if we don't feed him when he wants to eat. He'll
get into trouble and sit and stare at you to see if NOW you will feed him. Just like yours, he is very hyper when he wants to be. Got to hurt though on those unannounced spot landings in the lap

    The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
    It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey--
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter--
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum-
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
    And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover--
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
    His ineffable effable
    Effanineffable
    Deep and inscrutable singular Name.
    - T.S. Eliot

Considering he was under the car and still in one piece, having not been squashed by a tire into a phlatcake....

The obvious.... PhlatCat of course! You could buzz him with your PhlatStang every once in a while...

Or something more simple, such as "kitty kitty". Here Kitty Kitty

Then there is "Slim Jim" and cool names like "Skinny Kitty" which work well when called, here "Skinny Kitty". Sounds like here "Kitty Kitty" but more elegant

Or you could go with "Cat". Here Cat, here Cat, come here Cat.

Let's see now, how about something more down to earth, like maybe "PawPaw" or "Mr foot", Paws, get it ?

Oh my, its getting Goofy here. Must be time for me to go to bed.

Good luck finding a name for him/her/it...

lol these are great names guys! She of course jumped right into bed with us no matter how many times we put her down she would come right back up. When we finally gave up on that idea and she settled in and fell right to sleep. She sleeps like a log(long day for her)
Its like shes lived here for years. She just acts like its her house now too! :) (hopefully shes a good mouser so she can earn her board)
Keep those names coming now that you guys know shes a she it may narrow it down some :D
    Thanks you
    Mark and Trish
