Dont forget the very internet we are using here was originally a DOD experiment, I believe the military & the space program is responsible for a huge number of inventions we all take for granted today- or they borrowed/stole/bought the idea from who invented it

Well last nights show did not work out as expected, but I can say that I have a better understanding of the gyros now thanks to all of you guys helping out. We were sooo close! The motor was acting up too (sticking and getting super hot) The good news is Glen(Evil-Tunes) said I could borrow his 6 channel receiver and 7 channel TX :D
So we will give it another go ASAP when we get it hooked up.
Thanks again for being so helpful and understanding

    Cool looking project Kwok
The idea of the self righting is exactly what I want to make the ATOM do. I also like the way that you steer this by moving a weight around!

That thing is firing at a minimum 5.56 mm rounds, probabally 7.62 or bigger, from multiple axis. Just think about the recoil from the weapons, having to adjust the hover.

The video is cool but it's old "Star Wars" cold war tech designed for use in space. This was a limited test of the small rockets on the kill vehicle.

Your design Mark is much more condusive for use in atmosphere.

What you are building is more like this:

I saw this video and thought of the ATOM, although it's different in design.

Nice Laverne! I say you need to put that one back on the table and get it in the air.
