When in doubt go with 4 wire, usually means bi-polar stepper which inherently means more torque. If your board can use bi-polar some of the less expensive boards will only allow uni-polar so keep an eye out for that.
The easy cnc board will handle both

This stepper is like the 6 wire motor that came with the easy-cnc board. The one wire is just clipped back, which makes it bi-polar series.

It can handle both types of steppers but the steppers have to be wired for bi-polar.

Now I just hope Mark made the Stepper area big enough for them in the new MK2 version :?:

You should have plenty of room on all axis. Y is the only one that I see as being tight but now it sits sideways :) so it may take making a notch but you could go as long as you need :D I was going to leave that area open but It looked better to me with the way I made it up and the stock steppers fit so I left it in thinking that you guys might want to notch it out later on your own if you have larger steppers.

Be sure to let us know how they work. I'm in the market for another stepper and this one looks good.

Sorry, I kept meaning to post my results.
I didn't take notice on the phase resistance and come to find out it is higher than the steppers I had in there. This isn't such a good thing. These steppers are fantastic on the lower rpm's but when I tried to ramp them up to a higher setting (still using 1/4-20 allthead) they would lose steps. Despite having double the torque rating from what I had, if the resistance is higher you can't spin them faster. Also make note the ones they shipped were double shaft and not single shaft.
After looking at what probotix has and remembering to make sure the resistance is a lower number as well, the $50 280oz yellow stepper would be the best.
Randy I think you would be fine with the blue 200oz one that I got if your using the 4 start acme, because you'd be spinning the motor in the right rpm band for the most effective torque. Also if you do use the probotix stepper for your Z axis you will need to grind off the shaft sticking out the back end.
With all that said, these motors will rock with belts :D. My X axis has no probs getting past 500ipm.
