    Weihnachtspyramide or German Christmas Pyramid;

    This is a last minute effort, so that's my caveat ;) . This is based on a mountain with clouds above it (thermal trigger obviously ;) ), loosely referencing the classic four post model weihnachtspyramide.

    This was designed for 6mm birch plywood and 6mm dowel and the prototype was built around 6mm depron and 6mm carbon fibre rod. The bottom spiggot supports the carousel on the head of a cheap Bic ballpoint pen hosted in a receiving tube with cupped DAS clay. This thing spins quite easily. You could even stay with the foam version if you aren't inclined to use real candles. You could design and print out your own cogs for motorisation.

    I'm going to create some 2d silhouettes of people and places to place in the carousel tiers and use some wire to suspend paragliders, hangies and sailplanes under the clouds on ours. The prototype was proudly churned out by my Mk1 Phlatprinter and the first birch laser plywood model will come to fruition hopefully in the next day.

    Not too much adornment right now. Something to add to over the years. If anyone wants to take this and improve it for our little community, please do so with our blessings. Creative Commons blah or whatever we do around here :)

    DXF and SKP attachments provided. No CNC files - had issues with SU8 that I need to look into with a CAM simulator.

    Seasons Greetings.
