Here is a little organizer I made to hold my glue and other stuff.
I put a scrap piece of thin ply under the pen area so I could put an exacto knife in there also.
The picture of my completed one shows the writing on the foam, but I changed the files so the writing doesn't show. When I put it together I started from the back and worked my way forward.
Also note the pens should be on the right and not the left like mine(that what happens when the writing was on the wrong side) . Attached files Clutter Caddy 1-8th bit.cnc (29.2 KB)Â [IMG] [IMG] Clutter Caddy.skp (974.6 KB)Â

Very cool, 3DMon! Thanks for sharing - I'll be cutting a couple this weekend to tidy up my workbench. Include me in that "why didn't I think of that" group.

Are there tabs on those cutouts, or do I need to be standing there with my toothpick at-the-ready? I'm definitely going to make one of these - just want to know.

Tabs are there. No toothpicks needed :D

Glad you guys like it. I have it setting right next to the glue stick holder too.
A buddy of mine thought it was small, but I like the size of it.

    3DMON,

Your Clutter Caddy is sweet! My wife saw it and wanted one right away, so I cut one out.

I also wanted to try out time lapse on my camera, so I made a video of the caddy being cut on the PhaltPrinter and parts being trimmed out from the sheet. The video can bee viewed here:
    http://www.vimeo.com/3048653 Length 6:30
With my new ACME Y axis mod it only took about 40 minutes to cut it out!

    Awesome!
Cool video, love the shadow :)
Did you get to finish putting it together? I hope everything went together smoothly.
Is that time lapse a setting in your camera, or in your editing software? Nice feature.
Also from the video I couldn't tell a big difference in sound, but from your wife in the background I can tell it makes a huge difference :D .

I was waiting for someone to notice the shadow :)
Yep, I put it together and it works great, as you can see in my second video post above showing the assembly time lapse video.
The time lapse setting is in the video settings of my digital still camera (PowerShot SD1100 IS), you can set 1 second or 2 second interval times.
Yes, the video does not do justice to the amount of sound that the cone silence cover blocks, but my wife's comment sure reveal the cover's effectiveness.

I love that assembly vid. Something about watching it sped up...too cool.
I have one of those little cordless vacs, I can't believe I never thought to use it. I almost forgot I had it until I saw this vid :D .
Oh and you might wanna check the title on that vid ;) .
    Thanks for sharing!
