Mike, your 3X3 looks awesome! I can't wait to get back to my end of the state to get back to work on the shed and then my Hybrid, but I might not post any photos of mine when it gets finished. After all, it would be like hanging a childish stick-figure drawing next to a Rembrandt!
Awesome job! The only thing that sucks is the Dust Collection System, and that's what it's supposed to do!

Wow Mike, your rig is looking more professional by the day! Nice work fella. Who'd have thought it when only 18 months ago most of us didn't even know what g-code was (well I didn't anyway) :D

You guys are too much!

Thanks to all of you for the nice remarks!

After this weekend's work "christening" the machine on speaker cabinets, I will be starting on cutting the pieces for a 4 axis CNC Hotwire setup that will attach to the table.

    Nice setup Mike!
This is just making me want a flat bed more and more. I need to sell off some of my stuff first though.

Well, I just couldn't wait for the weekend to start cutting - I started cutting some pieces this morning to test out the dust collection system.

After cutting MDF with nothing more than a shop-vac carefully aimed at the the cutting tool (and not working effectively at all!), I am happy to report that the Tunnel Dust Collection Shoe and Harbor Freight Dust Collection System work AWESOME!

I would be hard-pressed to find ANY MDF dust on my machine! Furthermore, instead of the shop-vac drowning out the router, now the router completely drowns out the Dust Collection system!! LOL

I give this set-up TWO THUMBS UP
! Thanks to Travis for letting me know his experiences with this equipment, Vernon for sharing the 20% OFF coupon, and Dorsal for turning me on to the dust shoe design.

All that is left to finish out this machine is to wire in my limit switches (yes, I still haven't done that yet! LOL) and to hang some skirt material over the sides of the table to shield the X carriage bearings from stray particles that may fall there.

A skirt! Don't do it Mike!! :) You have to make some type of cabinet for that.
JK Good news about the dust collection Mike I was wondering how that was going to work out in that it will be very similar to the Phlatbed monster soon to be installed ;)
    Thanks for the update
