The AIM 54 missiles are finished.I do not have any clear decal sheets. So I just cut them out and glued them on. Attached files
Wing Strake Fences are done. I think that is as much as I am going with the details.Time to do a lot of filling and sanding. And shaping. Before I start the painting. Attached files
It has a little more weight to it with the plywood swing arm. The plans call for a 300 sized brushless motor.I have moved up to a 400 sized to compensate for the extra weight. The AIM 54 missiles ,drop tanks, and chin pod are magnetic mounted so I can take them off before the first flight. I also have the foam version of the canopy .I am going to use it for the same reason.
It sure is a great looking plane, awesome work. My father and my grandmother both worked on the Tomcat, so I was lucky enough to see them up close a few times as a kid. My grandmother knew one of the test pilots, so she was even able to coordinate a couple of low level flybys over her house one day. I've admired that plane ever since. Keep up the great work
I put the Decal Sheets if someone needs them. Attached files F-14_Tomcat_Sunset_LTR.pdf (2.2 MB)Â VF-84_Jolly_Rogers_LTR_V1.pdf (1.8 MB)Â
