After two weeks of waiting for my 1/8 collet (BRP-1250) for my Pony Router (PR20EVSK) from Gallexy Products, I finally gave them a call only to find out that they don't have any made and didn't know when they would make more. I ended up cancelling my order and buying from Precisebits.com.
The kit from them was $65 for the kit (BOHG-COLT-84KIT)containing the special nut tool, nut 1/8" & 1/4" collets and some collet care.
The least expensive kit was $50 for a 1/8" collet, nut and wrench and collet care(BOSG-COLT-8KIT)

Read the product list closely as there are several different kits to chose from.

Just some info for those planning on converting to the Bosch pony router on there PP.

Yes it does hurt. I guess that explains why Bosch doesn't make a 1/8 collet. Granted the precision collet is way sweet and i am sure its a lot more precise then the adapter but I would have rather spent $5 over $80. I am just surprised no one else on the forums didn't suggest this especially since only two companies make a 1/8 collet for the Bosch pony router.

I guess no one needed it so far. I know I don't. My RotoZip comes with three collets. 1/8, 1/4 and one in between (but I don't remember the size).

I've gotten collets from Galaxy, and they work perfectly.
The woman who answers the phone there does not have any interpersonal skills.
She will hang up on you if you ask to many questions or irritate her. It doesn't take much.
When you order always ask for a ship date. If they wont give you a shipping date, or a date
when parts will be in stock again, then go elsewhere.

Has anyone tried to contact Bosch about getting a Bosch made 1/8, or 6mm collet and nut?

    Cheers.
    GHB :D

The Pony router and apparently several other brand routers have the 1/4 inch collet as the smallest size available. The Pony router is a favorite among home brew CNC. The lack of a 1/8 collet is a disappointment. I thought about getting a Rotozip but they are noisy and don't have variable speed.
I have read on some other forums that Bosch has been contacted about making a 1/8 collet but I never read what came of it.

Cookie, in customer support at Galaxy collet is not very helpful and was quick to tell me to go find another supplier. She told me I would get a refund (through paypal) I never saw it so I disputed it.

This is the collet I use with my Bosch Router.

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company - Model# 200-283

This split type clamp collet will hold the bits straight and true in the spindle! Less chance of run out on the bit.

    Try this link !

But again like some other vendors - the shipping was more than the parts cost.

Part was like $5.00 and shipping was $13.00 - but it totaled less that 20.00. It was the right part for the job and gave me the results I was looking for! My .0625 bits cut a .0625 wide path in the material.

I originally purchased that collet. After a month of not seeing it, I gave them a call. They said they had none in stock and didn't know when more would be made. Call them first before ordering.
