Hi all. First time posting. I have a few questions to ask about sketchucam.

First let me tell you my background. I have a cnc router I build from a kit 5 years ago. I have never quite understood hot to get a 3d drawing to my cnc. So I gave up on it. Well now it looks like I need it to help me make some money. I been a broadcast engineer for about 15 years a graphic designer and video fx editor for about 20 years. I can pick up on software pretty quick. And I understand machines pretty well.
I have watched all the tutorials several times but still hitting road blocks. I have never done anything like this before.

So first question can skecthup free work with sketchucam or will I need to have pro?
    2. For my project I will have to use the 3d in sketchucam. There is only one video on it and it leaves a lot more questions then answers. Is there a manual.

Last question if I sent my file to someone could you make it into gcode for me and shoot a video to show me how you did it.

I would be willing to pay if its not that expensive. Or will to trade. I started my own t-shirt business and would be happy you print a few shirts for anyone that can help.

Thanks for any help and answers. You can give

    Chris

Thanks for any help you can give. I will be checking out your links now. Here is a link to my Dropbox for the design. It should be simple. I'm excited to see if it can be done.

Anything else I can do for you please let me know.

I will try su7 and sucam. I just got a new spindle that can handle a 1/4 bit down to a 1/8 it should help me with my designs. This is just a side rail. I have others the is only 2d so I hope to be able to produce.

    Thanks again

    Ok Chris,
I gave this one a try using the center line depth tool on a few back and forth lines, using multipass to create the pockets. It looks like it may work.
Even though this is pretty advanced for SketchUcam it is still possible
Let me know how you make out.

    Hope this helps
