This is my attempt at creating the light bulb slice forum from the cool tutorial posted by Kwok (kyyu)
Thanks Kwok for posting your tutorial it was a great help.
This is also the bulb that we brought to the Toledo show I was up at 4am trying to finish this up that crazy night:D
You know I started thinking that these slice forms would look cool covered with monokote! You could use white and silver for this one and even add a couple LEDS :)
Download it and slice it up your own way :)
    Enjoy

Nice work, Mark! I've been waiting for you to post yours, with the better details. Took me awhile, too. Spent a whole weekend working on mine. I like the idea about the covering. I've been thinking about how to do the surfboard idea, I saw. :D

Yeah that was really cool (surfboards) I think that maybe we could even make furniture and things like that with his technique. I was reading that he may release the software he has written to create his unique slice forms. That would be too cool.
    Maybe we should write him?

p.s. as for the details I just downloaded a pic from the web of a light bulb and brought it into Sketchup, then traced one half of it.
It worked out great thanks to your tutorial!

Say, if a light bulb is the symbol of an idea -
is a sliced light bulb the symbol of a half-baked idea?

I do not have the dxf for this file, but you could always take the Phlatcode and convert it using the gcode to dxf program out there.
