I recently gave Mark and Trish some of my CAD files.

They are of motor mounts and motors used in the
Vapor, P51, and other small items.
Mark and Trish asked me if I would share them with all of you.
I said I would be glad to help.

These are Rhino 3D models of Micro RC components
I have modeled. These files may be used or modified
as you see fit for your designs. They have been donated
to the Phlatboyz LLC news group as is with no restrictions.

You may find these to be a useful aid in the development
of new RC aircraft designs to be printed on the Phlatprinter.

Although the files are to scale, they may not exactly
represent the real item. They are approximate (+/- .01").

    The files are:

    1 cell 3.7v Vapor LiPo battery.3dm
    AR6400 RX and Servo 6 chnl.3dm
    Gearbox and Motor P51.3dm
    Gearbox and Motor Vapor.3dm
    Propeller 152mm or 6 inch generic.3dm
    Spinner for Vapor.3dm

The files can be downloaded from my domain at:

You can download a demo copy of Rhino 3D V4
to view the files at: http://www.rhino3d.com/

I have other files of other receivers and servos.
If you want them please ask.

If you have any requests I would be glad to look into
it as time permits, and if I have the parts on hand.

    Enjoy.

Here is a Sharpie for those of you who want to design
a Sharpie attachment for your Phlatprinters.

    Hope you find this useful.

Nice one George :D I was pulling my hair out yesterday because I did not have one to work with and I had about an hour to come up with a holder for the show :) I did finally model a crude version of the sharpie and it worked out but this will be much nicer. Thank you for sharing this with us

This is a power pod I designed for my Fling 2 glider.

    The zip file contains a Rhino3D .3DM.

    The model includes a:
EPF50BL Himax Brushless 50 mm Ducted Fan.
Thunderpower 2100mah LiPo battery 3 cell.

I made this power pod out of 1/8" Midwest Light Plywood.
The ducted fan unit and battery are held to the motor mount by a thick rubber band.
The whole unit is held to the wing with rubber bands.

With the 2100ma Lipo, the glider got high quick.

The plan layout is on it's own layer.

Enjoy the model. Let me know what you think.

    Cheers.

thunder hawk, These models are awesome! Is there a way to convert these to a sketchup format?

Sorry I did not get to this quicker.
You can import them into SketchUp. Just import the 3ds files.

    Hope this helps.

You could download Draftsight, a free very similar program to Autocad.
