Do you think Depron would be better or EPP?

I think either one will work.

I am sending the plans to Ken on RCGroups tomorrow to be pdfized so I can provide a fully functional airplane.

    Thanks,

    Nate

Or post the files here and someone will produce PDF's as well as gcode files.

    Mark,

What webcam are you using and do you have a separate mic? I would like to try to broadcast live the construction of Phlat Man.

    Thanks,

    Nate

I still need to build this and make sure it flys, but I wanted someone to get a head start on the G Code. The horizontal body will have to be cut in half and the wing might have to be 2 pieces. Foam thickness is 9 mm Standard EPP. I am still working on the tab and slot construction. this is the PRE RELEASE VERSION! I doon't know if it flys; so if you want to cut it out and test, go ahead. The plans are going to be free as the Phlat code. I just that you so noy make excessive copies to sell. The CF Slot still needs to be added; I need to look and see when I cut it out to see where it would go and how long it is. as for the wing placement, refer to the 3D model. Thanks for all of the support!

    Nate

    BTW

I will post PDFs later when the design is proven! Attached files Phlat Man Printer.skp (101.6 KB)Â

looks like fun!! :D ! Here is a code I made for 9mm epp 24" x 36" sheets !! I modded it a little to make it symmetrical !! I imagine you can take the SKP file and make it for any size foam thickness!! ENJOY!!

"Hey guys, just a quick note... I had depron on the brain so before you waste a piece of 24" x 36" epp, Please make sure you glue an extra 4" strip in the x axis making the sheet 24" X 40", as my parameters on the file was set to 35" and this was the minimum size to fit this cool ship!! You will need the extra for the offset of the cut!! Hope this helps!! :p "
