Mark and Trish - Put me down for an immediate order the second this is ready to ship!!! Way to go!!! -Peter
Thank you Peter! Will do. I just want to make sure that it works the best it can and still maintain its affordability. We are getting close now. I should have the final parts in today to assemble the 24 prototype and then their may be some minor tweaking but we should be good to go. Thanks again, Mark and Trish
Hank, We are not sure as of yet but we hope to announce it on the show this coming Wed 7up, Here's a like to the shop vac I used its older but does the trick http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/WD5500-Wall ... /index.htm
Hey guyz. Check out this deal. We have been using 5 horsepower and this one is 3 so it's untested but it is a great price and this price is only good through 3/30 so we thought we would share it. http://www.lowes.com/pd_215727-20097-9300611_0_?newSearch=true&catalogId=10051&productId=1060267&Ntt=215727&N=0&langId=-1&Ns=p_product_quantity_sold%7C0&storeId=10151&Ntk=i_products&ddkey=http:CategoryDisplay
Wow! great price. In your opinion Mark do you think it would have enough pulling power knowing how your 5 hp performs? Wow, $20 bucks!
Home depot had a Rigid the other day for $20 too. I almost bought it but the reviews were iffy on it. I think I might just get this one, It looks better too.
I think it would work, but you may have to heat the plastic just a little more. But then again maybe not. I have a really tiny shop vac here that I am going to try with this machine to see the difference. Once I get the Phlatformer together and test the little vac I will let you guys know how it does. If it works with the small guy I would think that it will work with most all shop vacs. Mark
I just bought one. $20 was too good a deal to pass up, and I am able to pick this one up from my local Lowes (Unlike the Rigid one I almost bought). Thanks for posting this Mark.
So I should be good to go with the 6.5 hp ridgid that I have, I was actually afraid that it might be too big to get good pulls on. Thought it might try pulling the plastic under the part alot. Any thoughts on how much vacum is too much?
I have that shop vac, have had it about 6 months , when they ran this special at that time. I use it to vacuum up the dust on the top of the foam that the phlatprinter creates as it cuts. Works good for that and I had plans to make a vacuum table this summer, until I saw the Phlatformer and have decided to wait until it is out.
Gefahren, I don't think you can have too much. Better the pull, the more detail that will show through. Too strong however will collapse some weaker molds.
I got my Vac from Lowes yesterday. It's a really nice Vac. It has a cartridge filter and a bag for dry stuff. This thing as well is quieter than my small 1 gal shop vac. $20 was a super deal for this.
MY ORDER IS IN MARK & TRISH!!! Sorry I missed today's show, we had huge snow in the Cascades, so I took the family up for a day of skiing... Can't wait to receive it!!!! All the best, -Peter
Thank you Peter Sounds like you guys had a good time. Thanks again for your support of the Phlatboyz, we will get this out to you asap Mark and Trish
LOL All in good fun! I really thought that it would work because I was using such a small vacuum Great show! Thank you everyone Mark and Trish
LOL I still can't believe you did that! Is that the Toledo Demo Model? Will the booth have a distinct smell? LOL
