Last winter I worked up a variation of this plane in 9mm 1.3lb EPP. It's a 32" wing with carbon fuse bracing, larger control surfaces and I incorporated duel carbon wing spars. The spar configuration using one flat and one tube created a virtual I-Beam spar. I really like the strength of the wing using this configuration. Great for outdoor and indoor flying.

I use this plane for mostly precision hovering practice. My flying buddy and I play pass the transmitter while the plane hovers in front of us at eye level. This plane hovers that well! Rolling circles are quite simple to work with this plane as well. We really like it a lot!

Here are a couple of our backups we are getting ready for this years indoor season. Still need to add electronics and control rods. We have been busy flying helis and our big planes, need to get back to the foamies! Attached files [IMG] [IMG]

There's that Saran Wrap that is self stick. Sticks tenaciously and shrinks nicely with just a hint of heat from an iron . Don't go wild with the iron though as it will warp the structure.

It would be awesome if somebody came up with a sharpie pattern to draw those graphics on there. I have a ton of 9mm 1.3 epp.

I cut one of these out today and it flys great.

Now that my machine is cutting well I think ill work up a hollowed out version of this and maybe make some sharpie files for the top surface.

If it flies like this plane, the lighter the better. Also, I have found pull/pull on the rudder and elevator to very effective for the depron build. :02cents:

    Happy landings,

It may be on my end, but the pic you posted is not showing up here. Only a place-holder. :questions:

Hi guys, two micro-Piagets being built here - one by my son and one by myself.
nstaller, any flight reports with the micro version ? What is the CF that you placed in the wing - dimensions, square or round, did you cut for it or just glued it on the wing ? Any other carbon needed ? Do you really need to cut all these holes in wing/fuse and cover it, or is the 3mm Depron just fine ?

I have ordered the following gear from HK:
    - OrangeRx R415 Spektrum DSM2 Compatible 4Ch Micro 2.4Ghz Receiver
    - HK-282 Ultra-Micro Servo 2.2g / 0.2kg / 0.08sec
    - ZIPPY Flightmax 180mAh 2S 15C
    - HobbyKing AP05 3000kv Brushless Micro Motor (5.4g)
    - TURNIGY Plush 6A /.8bec/6g Speed Controller
    - GWS EP Propeller (DD-4540 114x102mm)
    - Mini Ultra-light Horns 23x14x6mm
    - Tiny Wheel for indoor / ultra light 10mm Diam (10pcs)
do you think it will take off with this (and be able to do some 3d ???)

Sorry guys for all these naive questions, this is my 1st scratch-build foamy, so far I always had kits (and bigger planes ;-), many thanks, Honza
