    Hey Guys!
Here are the files for a Rotozip RZ1 attachment. All the parts fit very well and should not require much sanding if any. I kept the layout the same as the original spindle attachment to allow the vacuum to still be around the bit.

As Mark has stated, this router is no toy and with the right bit will rip your fingers to shreds so please be careful and do not think you can predict the machines next move. It will surprise you every time. In other words please don't reach in to try and remove a part that is sticking up, keep a stick close by and use that as a pusher. The best thing to so is have a spoiler (foam) under your material so that you do not get little chunks that want to stop the X in between the rollers.
Guys please be careful and USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
    .

You will need (2) 3" long 8-32 bolts to clamp the Rotozip in place.

The pieces are a little tricky to put together as the Rotozip can't just slide into place after the parts have been attached due to the taper of the Rotozip. What I did was kind of put the parts onto the Rotozip and then put the back plate on the pieces.

One more thing I did was trim the first potion of the Rotozip plastic back to the line(~1/4") where the collet is to allow more clearance in the vacuum chamber.

I think the router that I have is the RZ1. I'll have to check it out once I move to my new house. If it is not, it's very similar and I'll need only to make a little changes. Thanks for doing most of the work for me, Shaun.

Hey guyz. You should all have 8 short mystery screws that were included with your Kit. They were intended to allow you to store up to two spare Phlatprinter attachments. I call them mystery because I don't recall mentioning them in the build log video but we may have. In any event, just thought I would mention it because it looks like you guyz are going to need them :D

Yep. I use the inside cut tool to get the offsets right but then I have to phlatten those lines to get rid of the blue lines. After that I weld each offset line and make sure it has a face on it (this seems important to make sure the bit follows the path of the line). A little work but the results are nice. I would love to see a pocket plugin that uses the offset algorithm of the inside cut tool. For that matter I'd like to see Sketchup use the inside cut tools offset algorithm for their offset tool as theirs stinks .

I got the parts cut and assembeled.
I decided to keep and use the basswood parts as there not stress related parts.

And my trusty old Dust shoe fits the attatchment too! :dance3:

Let the wood chips fly :good: Attached files [IMG]

Looks like you found what was missing....the rest of the parts. :D
    It turned out nice. :good:

A little tip. I found if you put the bottom thumb screws in the holes before attaching it, it will make things easier for ya. Also the vacuum port will work a lot better if you cut the front section of the Rotozip off to the line.

    Well Thanks again Shawn ....

I thought i would post a picture or 2 of a 3d cut i did tonight useing your rotozip attachment.
It worked and cut right at 5/16" deep in 1/2" white pine.
I used jovians 3d plugin to generate the code for a 3d mesh file i picked up from somewhere

Only problem is with the 3d file itself , or im not using the right bit as the file finished with some really bad raged edges. Now how can i clean this up ? you can see all the plunges of the 1/16 " bit .......

Its gonna work for me just great  Attached files [IMG] [IMG]

    Nice Bruce!
I just bought a nice piece of pine to do some carving as well. I just haven't figured out what I want to carve in it yet.
As far as the plunges showing. That is where a pencil line cleanup option would help in this situation. Meshcam has this option. It is where the bit follows the perimeter to clean up the jagged edges.
The only other thing would be to do a finer step over percentage, but those lines will still show up a little.
